At GhanaYe-Classifieds we want to make sure that the site is as clean, friendly and usable as possible for everyone. Ads that fall outside the posting rules stated in our Help sections or our Terms of Use may be removed from the site.

You are solely responsible for all information that you submit to GhanaYe-Classifieds and any consequences that may result from your post. We reserve the right at our discretion to refuse or delete content that we believe is inappropriate or breaching our Terms of Use. We also reserve the right at our discretion to restrict a user’s usage of the site either temporarily or permanently, or to refuse a user’s registration.

Please take the following policies into account before posting:

  • All GhanaYe-Classifieds ads must be posted by members over 16 years of age.
  • Malicious, defaming or slanderous ads are not permitted on the site.
  • Illegal items or services are not permitted on GhanaYe-Classifieds.
  • Ad that contains adult, mature or erotic content are not allowed.
  • Personals are not allowed.
  • All ads must be posted in the most appropriate category.
  • Each item, job or service should only be posted on the site once. Duplicates and spam ads are not allowed.
  • Each ad must only contain one item. Multiple items must be listed in individual ads, with the exception of household clearance ads and job ads with multiple openings for the same position.
  • Items posted for sale must include the price within the ad.
  • URLs must be entered in the URL field, not in the description of the ad.
  • Members must enter their contact details in the correct fields within their ads. Revealing these details in the ad description, photos or title is not allowed.
  • Premium phone numbers are not permitted to be used in the Contact Phone Number field, or in the ad description. They can be used in the Registered Phone Number field.
  • Adding fake or invalid phone numbers is not allowed. Including a phone number in your ad is optional. If you don’t want to include one, leave the field blank.
  • Keyword spamming (including many irrelevant words within your ad) to manipulate searches is not allowed.
  • GhanaYe-Classifieds does not allow discrimination of any kind.
  • Offensive language, hate speech or extreme profanity are not allowed.
  • Auctions ads are not permitted on GhanaYe-Classifieds.
  • Sold items and other ads that are no longer available should be deleted by the poster.
  • All items and services must be based in the UK, unless advertising an overseas property, in which case it must be posted in the International Property category.
  • Ads stating that they will not accept cash are not permitted.
  • Ads stating that the item is not able to be inspected or picked up in person are not allowed.
  • Pre-order ads are not allowed. All items must be in the possession of the seller before they can be posted.
  • All ads must be posted in English. Having a translation in another language is permitted.

Multiple ads posted for the same item/service are considered duplicates on GhanaYe-Classifieds. Duplicates clutter the listings and make searching harder for other users. When posting ads, please keep the following in mind:

  • Do not post the same ad in multiple categories. If you’re unsure of which category to use, try searching GhanaYe-Classifieds to find out where others have put similar ads.
  • Post your ad within your own area for maximum exposure. Remember, people that are willing to travel will search wider areas or use the distance search feature to find your ad.

Posting duplicate ads on GhanaYe-Classifieds may cause your ad to be removed. If you want more exposure on your ads, try one of our promotion options instead.

When you’re posting on GhanaYe-Classifieds, it’s very important that your ad respects the law. You need to write your ads so that they don’t discriminate based on age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

When you’re writing your job description, focus on stating the skills you’re looking for. Don’t think about a particular type of person.

Report an Ad

At GhanaYe-Classifieds, we rely on our community to help us keep everything as it should be. You can get involved by reporting an ad you want us to look at. We’ll work with its owner to help get it right.

GhanaYe-Classifieds’ first priority is to ensure that our community remains safe for all members. We don’t allow the sale of anything illegal or dangerous. We also prohibit certain items at the request of our community. If we feel you’ve posted a banned item, we’ll ask you to take it down or remove it ourselves.

The list below details what can’t be posted on GhanaYe-Classifieds, in alphabetical order:

  • Note: taxidermy is fine, unless it’s a protected animal

  • Note: Fish traps and pony traps (which are actually carts) are permitted

  • Including related equipment and services

Dangerous chemicals
Drugs and prescription goods

  • Illegal drugs
  • Legal highs
  • Prescription drugs/medicines
  • Steroids
  • Over the counter drugs
  • Items designed only to help someone take drugs
  • Contact lenses (because they’re prescription)
  • Note: Bongs and water pipes are allowed as long as they are for use with legal smoking activities and do not come with any tobacco or illegal substances.

Digital goods

  • Domain names
  • E-books
  • E-tickets
  • FIFA coins
  • Online accounts
  • Virtual merchandise, including in-game currencies or items
  • Virtual currencies (e.g., Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc.)
  • Note: Asking to be paid for an item or service in a virtual currency is allowed, but the currency itself cannot be sold directly.

Firearms, ammunition and equipment (even if they’re legal to buy)
